Safe Boating Course

A ten week course in safe boating skills and seamanship will be given by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 10-03. Some of the topics to be covered are Boat Handling, Rules of the Road, Equipment for your boat, Lines and Knots, Boat Trailering, Basic Navigation and much more. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive a certificate from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary that is recognized by many marine insurance companies for reduced premiums. This course also exceeds educational requirements in all states as a safe boating course.

Classes begin on Tuesday, February 28, and are held every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Instruction for this course is free, but there is a $45.00 charge for books and to reserve a seat in the class.
