A ten week course in safe boating skills and seamanship will be given by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 10-03.
This course will teach the skills needed to have a safe and enjoyable boating experience. Some of the topics to be covered are Boat Handling, Rules of the Road, Equipment for your boat, Lines and Knots, Boat Trailering, Basic Navigation and much more.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive a certificate from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary that is recognized by many marine insurance companies for reduced premiums. This course also exceeds educational requirements in all states as a safe boating course.
Classes begin on Tuesday, September 16, at 7:00 p.m., and are held every Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
