Welding/PMI reMAke 4.0
This class will be taught in person. Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District will be following state guidelines, recommendations, and protocols for safety.

This 10-week course is intended for anyone who wants to get a basic understanding of a variety of welding skills, knowledge, and safety procedures, as well as how to properly use and implement Precision Measurement Instrumentation (PMI). The following processes will be rotated in on multiple weeks: Oxygen and Acetylene welding, brazing and cutting processes, Flux Cored Arc, Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc (TIG), Shielded metal arc (Stick). This blended course will consist of 30 hours of welding training and 20 hours of PMI, both classes will have topic related lectures proceeding with performance hands-on tasks.
Safety procedures will be stressed. Supplies students will need are:

Leather work boots (Timberland style)

Non-flammable clothing (natural fibers, like Carhartt's). No Polyester, Rayon, Nylon, etc.

Safety glasses
-
We strongly urge students to provide their own Welding helmet, Welding gloves, and either Welding Apron or Jacket.
